You are committed to moving more impact capital into communities, either via financial investment or the cultivation and enfranchisement of diverse talent.
Given the choice between shipping a “B+” product on time versus a potential “A+” product at an undecided on future date, you opt for the B+.
-
We are obsessed with momentum and milestones. Mistakes and delays are inevitable, but they do not derail our progress to our ultimate goal.
We are entrepreneurial, iterative and always trying to move the ball forward.
We set ambitious timeframes and hold ourselves accountable, always committed to shipping on time.
-
There is no “right stage” to engage with us.
The most important factor is how much conviction you have around your idea or initiative.
We have worked with partners who do not have anything mapped out, besides a problem statement; we have taken that blank canvas and given it contours and launched.
It’s not so much about the right time, it’s more about the right attitude and depth of commitment.
-
If we start at step zero (an idea and completely blank canvas), this is how long we estimate each stage would take:
Design: understand problem statement and related players/ecosystem, develop short menu of forms an incubated initiative could take (3-4 months)
Develop: once form is greenlit, create the entire initiative, including but not limited to program arc/curriculum, pricing, participant profiles, participant recruitment strategy, oeprations plan, administrative structure, and revenue and expense projections (4-6 months)
Launch: promote and begin initiative after completion of Develop stage (within 2 - 6 months)
Implement: manage the entirety of an initiative (3 - 12 months)

In addition to our incubation and investment work, Untapped’s Founder, Eric Horvath, is working on several other initiatives that align with Untapped’s mission:
Co-founder and co-host of Impact(ed), a podcast focused on how investment impacts our world.
Primary author on original research that is investigating how non-traditional talent access impact investing careers.
-
We are happy to support new, diverse and emerging talent. To date, we’ve hired several non-traditional candidates for part-time roles. If you have a passion for impact investing and a skillset that aligns with our work and approach, please reach out.
